Wow, I can't say enough good things about the Winter Wander Pant! I recently purchased them for a trip to Nepal with my husband. We packed very light for trekking so I ended up only bringing these pants and wearing them for 2 weeks straight. They were super comfortable especially with the wide waistband which gave extra support to my lower back while wearing a pack. They looked good both while trekking and in cities. They also held up great while trekking over rocks, during a downpour, and in the snow. The pockets fit my passport, money, and camera and everything else needed while walking around the country. These are great pants and I will continue wearing them for all my Utah winter activities!

Please buy these pants, do not hesitate. They are incredibly comfortable, have plenty of room for a base layer, and keep you warm AND dry. I snowshoed without gaitors in deep snow, in the pouring rain and they performed flawlessly. If there's a house fire...:)

I'm currently in a very cold climate and I absolutely love these pants. They fit well and are relatively light weight, but adding a base layer keeps me nice and toasty... not to mention they look awesome on!

Love the fit - low rise without revealing too much of my "muffin top", non-binding, super comfortable. Although they are heavier and warmer than traditional hiking pants, I don't know if I'd really label them as a winter pant. In 20-30F degree temps, they're a bit chilly unless I've got long underwear on. They work fantastic under my insulated Carharts for work though. In times when I've worn them as an outerlayer, they do shed water/snow and dry quickly. I'm normally a size 10/12, and the 10 fit me great. Got the black, and will probably be purchasing another pair soon in the graphite!

I have the lighter weight MH Yuma pants that I love for backpacking, hiking and travel. These are heavier weight for warmth and I think pretty water proof - I walked for 3 hours in the rain in the gorge yesterday and they were impervious. The fit is great for me - I have a small waist and can synch the string a bit. They look attractive enough for travel and about town too.

Super flattering, I am 5'10" and 140 lbs, a 6 tall fits perfectly. Warm, breathable - have hiked in them, have not been in the snow yet so not sure how water proof they are. Would love to get in a second color.

These pants are GREAT. I wear them to the office, then hit the cross country ski track for lunch - they work for both! The fit is true to size, with ample width in the legs for movement and to layer long underwear underneath. Waist fits perfectly. I will probably order another pair!

Sooooo love these pants!!! Fit couldn't be more perfect. Comfortable, long enough, and as my husband pointed out, make my bum look great! Love these pants! They are water and wind resistant, super stretchy. I am going to use them for climbing in cold weather and spring skiing, I am sure these pants are going to do an awesome job. They fit right, a little on the wider side. One of the only pants that have low waist.

I'm a large woman and I've always heard MH runs small. I expected to have to return these. I'm a true size 16 and I ordered a 16 and they fit perfectly. No complaints. I'm set for winter!

It's not often that you find a pant that is warm, sheds snow AND looks great! These pants deliver all that and more! And...they're stretchy and super comfortable. The colors are great also. The Platinum is a darker gray than it looks online. The brown is very nice and warm, and the black is, well, black. The best winter pants ever! It's not often that you find pants that are as great for hiking as they are for work. These will be a cold-weather staple!

Again these pants have a wonderful mountain hardwear fit. They are a little warmer than the light weight Yuma pants and have a nice profile without any bag pockets extending from the pant. I was able to put a few of the things I needed in the pockets and they felt secure. See if you can try these on before, however, because they do not have belt loops if bought big. Very comfortable!!

If quantity of pants speak volume re this product, let me be the first to advise, I have 6 black and 2 gray pairs! These are the absoluete best for everything! I travel in them, play tennis in them, walk in them, relax in them, and everything else possible. I rarely am not seen in these unless they are in the wash! No wonder I have 8 pairs! Super fantastic and i trust you will always have these phenom pants in your stash! how about some more colors? Navy, olive, sage, dark grey, who knows...yellow for DUCK football games?!!!

The internal cord in the waist band hits right under my back-pack belt and hurts like crazy. The cord made a deep groove in my skin and blistered my hipbones. Why not use a flat tape instead of a round cord to cinch up the loose waist? Also the plastic gizmo to secure the cord is in a terrible spot, another sore indentation on my hip. The hook and eye closure is too far in from the edge of the flap so the fly flap sticks out like it's left open. Poorly designed compared to the rave reviews I read.

Best ever snow pants

This is my second pair of the Winter Wander pants. I didn't wear out the first pair...they are still going strong after a heavy duty daily wear during the long winter season here in Valdez Alaska. They lived through daily recess duty on the snowhill at the elementaery school, and semi daily snowshoeing with the friends after work....I lost weight and needed another pair, only smaller.
I have worn these pants for outdoor activities and they have also gone with me into the lodges and classrooms when the temps were cold. They are so great looking,with light weight , and the great fit... there a staple in my wardrobe.

I love these!

I'm a huge fan of MH clothes in general. IMHO they make some of the most flattering technical clothing that you don't feel bad for wearing to work (I work in a casual environment) or just hanging out with friends for lunch.
These pants are great because they fit very good and have added warmth for winter. I also like the extra soft lining around the waist. It's huge considering I've had pants that dig uncomfortably into my bone during backpacking trips. The flare of the pants feel a little bit wide but I figure that's to accommodate for larger winter boots. It's fine since there's hidden drawstrings. While these pants are pricey, I actually had someone ask me "oh my where did you get these?! they actually look good for hiking pants!" Yes... it's a vain reason but there's no reason pants can't be technical and look good... and these are it!

Summer, winter, spring, or fall- These softshell pants are the BEST! DWR finish with a bit of stretch make these pants perfect for ANY outdoor activity. I wear these for everything from hiking, to ice skating, to shopping on the weekends. They're not only functional, but fashionable as well. I'm a tall, thin woman- so the fact that these come in "longs"- WOW... That's just not something you find every day. Thanks MH- I love em'!!!!

These pants are super awesome. They're flexible, repel dirt and snow like a dream, and look GREAT on. I wore them cross-country skiing and snowshoeing, and they kept me dry and happy.
My only criticism would be that the inseam on the size 6 tall pants wasn't quite long enough for me -- if they were an inch or two longer, they'd be perfect (I'm nearly 6' tall and have really long legs). Also, if you're out in the snow, be sure to layer; I think I would have been cold without a little extra insulation.

Great pants for skiing and beyond

I finally got a pair of these pants...been wishing for them for awhile. They are perfect for mountain living -- to work, ski, snowshoe, out to dinner afterwards. I do think they run a bit large, but overall am very happy with them -- I'm also appreciative that they come in 3 different lengths! At 5'2" the short are perfect length.

multipurpose pants

These pants work great when you go walking at the athletic club and then do errands afterwards. They look like regular pants, but shed the rain and have lots of stretch. I am pleased.

I could live in these!

made my friends jealous

I love these pants! They by far exceeded my expectations. They are roomier than other MH pants I own, but it allowed the needed room to layer with tights underneath. Bonus--a drawstring like aparatus in the waistline was great for making them a perfect fit! I went hiking and rock climbing in weather that was about 35 degree F with scattered rain. The pants were troopers. Extremely flexible and durable. Dirt resistant. Shed rain--I stayed completely dry! And at the end of the day, stylish to go downtown and hang out with friends.

I wear a 6 petite and these pants fit perfect! Materials and features of these pants are top quality. Will be hiking and snowshoeing in these pants, but they will also be perfect for a casual night our on the town!

Awesome pant from trail to town

This is my favorite winter pant and i've used it for everything - from winter hiking in the Grand Canyon to trekking around Italy to work meetings in Iceland, they are fabulous and look awesome on, just the right cut. They've held up really well to some abuse, though a sharp lava rock did spring a small hole (though in the black you can barely see it), they are still my favorite cold weather pant. Just perfect if you're short on luggage space and want something that does it all.
