This is my favorite jacket that I own. I use it alot. The only thing is that even when mountain climbing and hiking, I find it a little bit too warm. I start sweating in it a few minuites after I put it on. Personaly, I get cold easily, but this is just too warm.

I love it when the weather is freezing and as a jacket when it's just cool. It's so warm and fuzzy, but still breathes. Every cool day when I walk to the closet I just want to snuggle up in my Monkey Woman, but sadly I only have one -it's starting to seem as if all my most comfortable clothes are Mountain Hardwear. I also recommend any 'butter' shirts by Mountain Hardwear to complement this jacket as a mid- or base-layer or even just to wear solo on those in-between days while hiking. Two versatile pieces.
I would recommend this product.

Great jacket overall!

I love the style of this jacket. The colors (white/grey) look very sharp together. The fabric of this jacket provides excellent warmth in cold situations (perfect for hiking/backcountry trips). The fit is pretty good....My only complaint would be that I wish it was a little longer in the torso. I feel like it rides up a bit. Other than that, it's a great jacket!

Super Warm and Cozy

This is a curl-up-by-the-crackling-fire type of jacket. Super toasty and cozy - everybody seems to want to rub it. I've only done moderate hikes during relatively balmy (40 degree) days, and it works perfectly under those conditions. It's not wind resistant, so I think I'd need a shell over it for anything more wintry. Great insulating layer, and looks nice walking around town too.

Fail-Safe Gift!

I bought two of these for my girlfriend and my mother for christmas 2011. I got them in the orchid. The look on each of their faces was enough when they saw the plush cuddliness of the jacket. Each of them put the jacket on, and it pretty much hasn't come off since. I own one of these myself too. It is a great and rugged garment, even though it appears like a snuggle blanket. The one downside is that it is totally permeable to wind, but it is a great layer under a shell. Both the mens and womens have nice tight atheltic cut.

Best Christmas Present

I absolutley love this jacket! I have never purchased anything that was the Mountain Hard-Wear brand before and this was definately a success. For the most part, I use this jacket on chilly days in town or just around the house whenever I get a little bit cold. The fuzziness of it makes it perfect to feel on your skin and the jacket can be a perfect outer layer over top of a long sleeve shirt. The only complaint I have is that it is not very wind-proof; I have worn it to the movies several times and while walking to my car, the wind just went right through. It is not bad, but some improvement of tighter stitching on the sleeves and back may help this issue. Once again, this jacket was a purchase that just made my day; I love it!

Amazing Buy

I bought this jacket 2 years ago and it has by far been my favorite go-to jacket. Even after 2 years of everyday, skiing, and hiking use this jacket looks like the day I bought it. It is really warm, perfect for wearing alone or under a shell on colder/windy days. Not to mention the fur feels fantastic. All in all I can't say enough good about this jacket, I highly suggest it!

I bought this jacket for my daughter for Christmas. When I received it, I was very pleased. The jacket is very soft and warm. The fit is just right. I got the brown and the color is a real pretty deep brown. Love it!!!

This jacket is the best!! I live in Flagstaff so our winters can get really cold but this jacket really does the job. It keeps me warm on cold days and I absolutely LOVE how it's so soft.

LOVE IT!!!

I absolutely love this jacket. I would NOT recommend drying it, because it won't be as soft afterward. It is extremely warm, and the unique design fits really well. It's not boxy at all. Perfect for everyday outdoor activities in cold weather!

My favorite jacket.

This is my second Monkey Woman jacket. I made the mistake of drying my first one, but still wear it often. Very warm and easy to get on and off and good for most outdoor activities. Classic and comfortable.

The warmest jacket I have owned!

I tried on one of these jackets a year ago and have wanted one ever since. I received one for Christmas this year and it is amazing! I live in north Texas where is very windy and cold during the winter, and wear it walking around my college campus.
If you go hiking or camping in cold weather take this jacket and a wind jacket and you won't need much else. Several of my friends who also own them rave about them for camping and hiking.

Monkey Woman Jacket--great!

I bought one in black for my dauihter for Christmas and she absolutely loves it. It is so soft and warm, and it complies with her school's strict dress code. She wears it all the time---I've even caught her sleeping in it!

Replaced 15 year old fleece with this

It took a loooong time for me to feel like a new fleece could stand up to my Moonstone standby, but the Monkey Woman Jacket fits the bill! It's so warm, light, packable - and super cute! I love the colors (so glad brights are coming back into style). SWEET!

monkey woman kacket

this is my third monkey jacket. i had the original one that only came in blk and now have two other colors. it is my favorite mountain hardwear piece. it washes great and is light as a feather. i wear them all the time with a t shirt or for skiing as a layering piece.

Warmest Fleece Ever

This jacket is incredibly warm. I expected it to be a much bulkier fleece, but I love how light it is and yet so warm. I especially like the stretch on the sides and the sleeves making it really easy to move around in. I did notice that some of the seaming particularly on the zipper and the underarms is a little off and some of the fuzz sheds in these places. I live in the mountains where I work in a wilderness program, ang this fleece is perfect for quick warmth and easy packing.

I love this jacket! The fleece is super soft and it's very warm, great for the winter. I wear it as is on a cold day or under a waterproof shell when it raining.

I love this jacket. I wear it every day. I instantly feel warmer when I put it on. I'm normally always cold, but this is kept me incredibly warm. In fact, I even feel warm when other people complain about how cold it is. That's a first! Another perk is that this jacket is also super soft and cozy!
