I have never liked rain pants, ever, but I love the Epic pant! A quality buy. I've had my pants and jacket at least 5 years now.

Definitely waterproof. I have actually worn these kayaking in a sit-on top and came home dry. My absolute favorite rain pant. I take my epic pants and jacket backpacking on every trip - great for a downpour or just an extra layer if the nights are chilly.

Super lightweight, I never "feel" like I'm carrying rain gear. Quite breathable as well. I prefer to wear pants and long-sleeves under my Epic gear, sometimes the fabric will stick to your skin (to be expected as you sweat). I also thinks this helps wick moisture away. Plan to take these on a kayak/hike trip in the San Juan Islands this fall, I'm sure they will be perfect.

I would recommend this product.

I used these pants when I went snow shoeing in the southern cascades and they kept me super dry. I have a small waist and a rounder bottom, usually wear size 6 or 8 and the medium fit me perfectly. My only complaint is that I wish there were pockets. Even if it's a small side pocket on the thigh, any pocket is great.

For the price, these pants are a great buy. They fit me great. I like the zips on the legs for boots and the velcro at the bottom for more adjustments. The DWR worked like a champ, water was beading up on them perfectly. I was hiking in rain for a whole day in December with these when I first got them and they regulated temperature well. They also pack up pretty darn small.

Great waterproof pant

Used this pant on a week long adventure in Scotland through one of the worst storms the region has seen (100mph winds) and they were perfect. Comfortable over the hiking pants, kept everything dry, easy to put on/off and packed up nicely when not needed.
